Die-hard Lions fans can custom tie dye playoff gear at Detroit Dye House

Die-hard Detroit Lions fans looking for some unique gear to celebrate the team's first-round NFL playoff game can custom-dye all sorts of apparel, from hoodies and socks to T-shirts and tanks, this Thursday.

For $25 for an hour, customers of the Detroit Dye House in Corktown can dye clothing and merchandise in the Lions' signature colors — Honolulu blue and silver, and any complementary shade of blue, gray, and black. A full rainbow of colors will be offered and an experienced dye-tender will be on hand to help.

Blank apparel is available for dying, including tank tops for $10 and, hoodies for $35. Apparel prices start at $10.

The event is from 5-8 p.m. at the Dye House, 1418 Michigan Ave. Drop-ins − and beverages − are welcome. For more information go to www.brightlytwisted.com.

The Lions are hosting the LA Rams, and their former quarterback, Matthew Stafford, at Sunday night's game at Ford Field. The Lions are looking to win their first playoff game in 32 years, since January 1992.
