Make a Difference: Alliance for Living

Dec. 11—WHO — Participants who receive support services for homelessness, HIV, substance use disorders and the overdose epidemic.

AGENCY: Alliance for Living, a nonprofit serving New London County.

THEIR SITUATION: The organization runs several programs that help clients find secure housing, adhere to HIV treatment plans and manage medical care. They provide meals and run a food pantry for those in need, and they work to reduce harm in the opioid overdose epidemic through their navigator, clean syringe and drug user health programs.

WHAT TO GIVE: Blankets, tents, hand warmers, gloves, rain ponchos, socks, winter coats and brand-new underwear for men and women of various sizes.
