- I'm Jessica Kartalija with your evening digital news brief for Monday June 7, 2021. We are day 3 into our first heat wave of the season. People looking to beat the heat headed to the Jersey Shore today. Eyewitness News was in Wildwood crest where the Beach and boardwalk were crowded with people who called today the perfect beach day. The spray ground in Wildwood crest was also a great place to cool off to.

Delaware wins a vaccine incentive program is getting bigger. About 200 small businesses in Delaware are now offering everything from free food coupons all for vaccinated people. I would assume news was in Wilmington this morning as governor John Carney toured Mrs. Ronino's restaurant as well as a one deli. The businesses are also getting grant money from the state. The governor said Delaware is just short of 68% of adults who are now vaccinated. His goal is 70% by July 4th.

Authorities are trying to figure out what led to a series of fires at the historic McNeil mansion on Pearl Street in Burlington City. That's near the Delaware River. The fires began around 2:30 this morning.

Philly sports fans got the chance to play golf with their favorite sports personalities today. The Richie Ashburn Harry callus foundation hosted a golf tournament at Yardley Country Club. Money collected from this fundraiser will help the foundation for free baseball camps for children in the Philadelphia area. More than 1,000 children participate every summer.
