UKEE WASHINGTON: I'm Ukee Washington with your evening digital News brief for Thursday, March 25th. The Philadelphia school district is expanding hybrid learning, meaning the return of more students to school buildings. Students in grades three to five and students with complex needs in grades six to eight can now opt in to hybrid learning. Students would attend school in-person two days per week and engage in digital learning three days each week, and families will have until April 13th to make a decision. Those who do not make a selection will remain with all digital learning.

A big announcement from Rutgers University, all students enrolled for the 2021 fall semester must prove they have been vaccinated for the virus. Students may request an exemption from vaccination for medical or religious reasons. Students enrolled in fully remote online degree programs and individuals participating in online only continuing education programs will not be required to be vaccinated.

A man is dead and another critically hurt after a car collided with a SEPTA bus early this morning in north Philadelphia. The crash happened around 5 o'clock at 12th and Master. Police said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. Eyewitnesses say it ran several stop signs, clipped a bike rack of the SEPTA bus, then slammed into two parked cars. A 41-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead. We're being told the driver is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

The leaders of Facebook, Twitter, and Google were in the hot seat on Capitol Hill today. They testified before a House committee about misinformation on their platforms. Lawmakers grilled them about what role they may have played in fueling the Capitol riot and misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine. All of the CEOs rejected blame. Lawmakers urged them to set a standard for rules and accountability on their platforms.
