‘Dino Off Road Adventure’ is new attraction at Six Flags

Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts, which will open for the season on April 7, will unveil a new ride on Memorial Day weekend: Dino Off Road Adventure.

The child-oriented attraction will have two-person safari vehicles in a jungle full of life-size moving animatronic dinosaurs with sound effects, according to Six Flags.

Among the dinosaurs featured are Tyrannosaurus Rex, baby Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dilophosauras, Maiasaura and Pachycephalosaur.

While waiting in the queue, families can read educational materials about dinosaurs. Dinosaur-themed food items and a dinosaur selfie station on the midway will come to the park the same time as the new attraction.

Six Flags will open for the season on April 7 and will be open Friday to Sunday. During Spring Break, April 15 to 23, it will be open seven days, then resume weekend-only hours until Memorial Day, when it will be open Wednesday to Sunday. Starting on June 19, it will be open seven days a week until the fall, then resume weekend-only hours.

Hurricane Harbor water park is open weekends starting Memorial Day weekend and then daily starting June 17. It will close for the season on Sept. 4.
