Direct flights from West Palm to Raleigh, N.C., take off from PBIA

Getting to and from the Florida and the nation's first state just got easier.

On Friday, Avelo Airlines announced that its newest nonstop service from Palm Beach International Airport, to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, which is coded RDU, have begun. One-way tickets to the piedmont North Carolina airport start at $49.

Avelo will have three routes out of PBIA by mid-February

Earlier this month, Avelo launched nonstop service from PBI to Wilmington New Castle Airport, or ILG.

One-way tickets to the Wilimington airport, roughly 37 miles southwest of Philadelphia, start at $49 for travel through June 19, the airline said at the time.

Flights on the Boeing Next-Generation 737 will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The airline already flies to Tweed-New Haven Airport, or HVN, in Connecticut.
