Dirt bike driver arrested after fleeing from Greenville police

A dirt bike rider accused of driving “recklessly” was arrested after fleeing from Greenville police on Tuesday.

Greenville police say an officer was on patrol when he saw a dirt bike being driven recklessly on the roadway.

The officer attempted to stop the dirt bike, but the driver fled outside of the city limits, police said.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office was able to locate and apprehend the driver, identified as William Watts Junior, on Stingley Road.

Watts was charged with failure to comply and driving under suspension.
