Justin Tionne Wilder Jr., 21, was driving a Yamaha dirt bike north on McFarland Boulevard East around 12:50 a.m.

Police say Wilder's bike collided with an SUV that was turning right from McFarland Boulevard onto Jug Factory Lane toward a row of restaurants in the 800 block of Skyland Boulevard.

Wilder and his passenger were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The 21-year-old female passenger had injuries there were not life-threatening, police said.
