The Jasper disaster recovery center will be at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield. FEMA says this center will be open on Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will help explain assistance programs and help those affected complete or check the status of their applications.
FEMA listed the following as things it may be able to cover:
Rental assistance if you need to relocate because of storm-related damage
Personal property that was damaged or destroyed in storms
Lodging if you had to stay in a hotel temporarily during the storms
Basic home repairs for homeowners whose primary residence was damaged by these storms
Other serious needs caused by the storms.
FEMA says it is only accepting one application per household, and it will not cover food that was lost or damaged during these storms.
By law, FEMA is not allowed to duplicate insurance payments or assistance provided by other sources.
