Disastrous Flooding Submerges Areas of Salzburg, Austria

Heavy rainfall brought severe flooding to enclaves of Mittersill in Salzburg, Austria, on July 19.

Volunteers worked “around the clock” to put up sandbags in Mittersill after the flooding reached dangerous levels, according to local news reports.

This aerial footage taken by Daniel Kogler shows the area’s iconic hills towering above floodwater and parts of the town underwater.
