Discount chain Five Below opens its third location in SLO County

Pismo Beach has a new store that won’t break the bank.

Five Below, a chain store specializing in value products, opened a new location in the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets on Friday.

The new location is the third Five Below store to set up shop in San Luis Obispo County and is located between the Vans and Zumiez outlets, and just down the strip from the recently opened Box Lunch store.

The chain also has stores at the Madonna Plaza in San Luis Obispo and the Target shopping center in Paso Robles.

“San Luis Obispo County — and greater central California in general — are high-performing areas for the company, and we want to be able to offer our store experience and products to as many people as possible,” a spokesperson for Five Below told The Tribune. “This new location will make it easier for the residents of Pismo Beach and surrounding areas to let go, have fun and experience all that Five Below has to offer.”

The 9,500-square-foot store is divided into eight sections — Style, Room, Sports, Tech, Create, Party, Candy and New & Now — with products ranging between $1 and $5, the spokesperson said.

The store will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, according to the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets website.

Customers can also find slightly more expensive goods in the “Five Beyond” section, the spokesperson said.

“Whether they’re looking for gifts, cool tech, room décor, the latest trends in toys and fashion or any of a wide variety of other items, we have something for everyone — from tweens to teens, and beyond!” the spokesperson said. “We look forward to welcoming the residents of Pismo Beach into our new location.”
