Discount Tire now open in Salina
A new place to buy tires and have them serviced is now open in Salina since Discount Tire opened its doors last month.
Located at 2155 S. Ninth St., this is the ninth Discount Tire to open in Kansas with the company planning further expansion in the state in the next few years.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the company began as a one-man tire shop in Michigan and has since grown to become the largest independent tire and wheel retailer in the United States, with over 1,100 stores in 35 states.
According to the company's website, Discount Tire sells a wide selection of tire brands, such as Michelin, Nitto, Goodyear, Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Falken, Continental and Cooper. It also sells a variety of wheel brands, including Fuel, MB, Vision, American Outlaw, TSW, Liquid Metal and Black Rhino.

The Salina store also offers a variety of services, including wheel and tire installation, tire rotation and balancing, tire inspections, flat repairs, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) service, fleet services, winter tire change, new tire and wheel consultation and wiper blade services.

The Salina store is now open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Discount Tire is closed on Sundays.
