High season is in the rearview mirror, but the Palm Beach dining-out scene’s roster of special events hasn’t exactly cooled.

Two wine dinners are on tap for June 15 and June 27.

The first, at Café Boulud, is called “Voyage to Italy,” featuring a four-course dinner ($185 a person) paired with fine wines from Cantine Bertani of Italy’s Veneto region.

With the delectable fare, wine insights will be offered by David Sauer, a certified sommelier and longtime food-and-beverage industry veteran who has joined Café Boulud as head of its wine-and-spirits program.

Sauer, formerly in positions at The Breakers and The Boca Raton Resort, will guide guests through pours served with the dinner by executive chef Dieter Samijn and head pastry chef Julie Franceschini.

The June 27 wine dinner — called “An Evening of Elegance” — takes place at Meat Market, where it will be presented by chef Joey Pagel and wine director John Balian.

The featured wines? From Dominus Estate, which is renowned for cabernets produced at its Napa Valley, California, vineyards.

After a 6:30 p.m. reception with such passed hors d’oeuvres as wild mushroom tartlets, guests will be served a four-course dinner ($275 a person) paired with Dominus wines. Among the dinner courses: lamb loin Wellington with black truffle, fines herbes, pomegranate red-wine glacé, baby sorrel and grilled parsnip.

Brown-butter cake with vanilla ice cream, candied pecans, chocolate caramel “twig” and edible flowers will comprise the dessert.

Limited seating is available. To make required advance reservations, call 561-354-9800 or visit www.meatmarket.net.
