Disney and Hybe unveil new BTS shows for Disney Plus

K-pop supergroup BTS is coming to Disney Plus.

On Monday, Disney announced that it is developing five new titles for its streaming platform in collaboration with BTS' management company, Hybe (formerly Big Hit Entertainment).

Among the planned shows include “BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LA,” a taped Los Angeles concert special, and “BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star,” a behind-the-scenes docuseries. Both shows will feature all seven group members.

According to Disney and Hybe, the docuseries will include snapshots of the members’ daily lives "as they prepare for their second chapter."

BTS’ recent announcement that the members will be taking a break to pursue individual projects is reflected in the upcoming reality series that will only feature BTS member V.

The slated travel show, titled “In the Soop: Friendcation,” will follow V as he joins “Itaewon Class” star Park Seo-jun, “Parasite” star Choi Woo-shik Choi, ZE:A member Park Hyung-sik and rapper Peakboy on a surprise vacation.

Jessica Kam-Engle, Disney's head of content for Asia Pacific, said in a statement that the “new titles will captivate consumers worldwide and look forward to introducing more music content on our service."
