It’s hard to believe that the mouse who started it all—Mickey Mouse, that is—has never had a ride dedicated to him at any Disney theme park. No, really. Never! He’s been a part of everything from stage shows to the shape of your food, but now he’s finally getting a ride dedicated to him and Minnie. Coming 92 years after his debut, it’s about time!

The highly anticipated ride, called Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, opens on March 4, 2020. You can experience the attraction at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. It's taking over the Chinese Theatre, where the Great Movie Ride used to reside.

Based on the recent Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts (yes, there are recent ones, in case you missed it), the ride allows you to climb aboard a railway and go on an adventure with the duo. Goofy tags along as the train conductor, of course. The ride promises to take you into the cartoon universe where the laws of physics aren't a real concern, and slapstick gags run extremely high.

Before the ride, you also get to watch a new Mickey short called “Perfect Picnic.” It seems like an idyllic day for a picnic... until something goes wrong. Of course!

If you're closer to California and happen to prefer Disneyland, you'll have to wait until 2022 to hop aboard a replica of the ride in Disneyland's Toontown. It will be Disneyland's first brand-new attraction—apart from Star Wars Land—in 15 years.
