Disney to offer half-price dining, theme-park tickets for children

Walt Disney World will introduce a half-price offer for children’s dining plans and theme-park tickets for a limited time next year.

The package deal, part of a hotel package, will become available for purchase Nov. 14, The travel window is for “most nights” March 3-June 30, 2024. It will apply to visitors between the ages of 3 and 9 with the purchase of a non-discounted four-day, four-night Walt Disney Travel Co. package at select WDW hotels.

Prices were not revealed Wednesday, but they generally vary with hotel selections. The dining plans are offered with multiple levels, but typically include a prepaid quick-service meal, a table-service meal and a snack per day.

Disney Dining Plans have been on hiatus since the pandemic shutdown of 2020, but the program is scheduled to return Jan. 9. (Visitors with resort reservations for that date and beyond already can add the dining plan to their stays). Jan. 9 is also the day that Disney World ends its theme-park reservation requirement for most ticketholders.

Meanwhile, Disneyland Resort in California announced Wednesday that it will sell children’s theme-park tickets for as low as $50 per person beginning Oct. 24. Those will be good for admission between Jan. 8 and March 10. For more information, go to disneyland.com.
