1. Walt Disney World is offering a new ticket option for Florida residents. The new Disney Weekday Magic Ticket will allow Florida residents to purchase a two-day ticket for $149 (plus tax) with entry to one theme park per day. The tickets are now available and proof of Florida residency is required. (WFTV)

2. U.S. Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL 9th District) is pushing for federal infrastructure money for SunRail train weekend service through a study. He is joined by a bipartisan group of lawmakers. The goal for local leaders is to use the study to push for weekend and also night service in the future. (Florida Politics)

3. Orange County Classroom Teachers Association is calling on the school district to sign a memorandum of understanding that would keep certain COVID protocols in schools. The school district and teacher’s union will meet again at an impasse hearing on Tuesday, January 18th to discuss this proposed agreement. (WMFE)

4. Former Orlando police officer Frank Sikos will not go to jail after being charged with misdemeanor battery for putting his hands on a man’s neck and pushing him down. He was indicted by a grand jury, but a deal with the state is set to be signed. (WFTV)

5. Charly Robinson’s F&D Cantina is set to open next week in Thornton Park. It replaces the Jax Thornton Park at 617 East Central Boulevard. Bungalower was invited on Monday for a preview of the new restaurant. (Bungalower)
