STORY: Disney's immersive Star Wars-themed Florida hotel is closing its doors

as the media giant cuts costs throughout its entertainment and parks businesses

Location: Orlando, Florida

Disney did not give an official reason for the closure which comes less than two years after the hotel opened

The 'Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser' hotel opened with fanfare in March 2022

The booking fee of about $4,800 for two guests includes a two-night stay in a Starcruiser cabin

and a visit to Batuu, the 'Star Wars' planet inside the Disney World theme park
