Disney Vacation Club Reopening At Disneyland Resort

ANAHEIM, CA — Following an extended closure due to coronavirus, the Walt Disney Company announced that Disney Vacation Club would reopen the Villas at the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in December.

"The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will once again welcome Members home beginning December 6," a spokesperson for the resort said in a letter to vacation club members.

"During this initial phase, the Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be open only for Members," they said.

The rest of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will remain closed.

Expect changes when you arrive.

"Upon reopening, restaurants, amenities and other offerings may be modified or unavailable, limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure," they said.

There will be a little of magic for DVC guests, as Downtown Disney has promised a reopening of Buena Vista Street inside Disney's California Adventure starting in late November.

There are changes, also to how Disney Vacation Club members can bank and use their points during this time of coronavirus, according to the resort.
