No place decks the halls better than Disney World. Christmas trees, ornaments, green and red Mickey ears, wreaths, garlands, and lights fill the Happiest Place on Earth with holiday fun. And this year, Disney World is even more festive because the Animal Kingdom is joining in on the holiday spirit for the first time ever.

The Tree of Life, the Animal Kingdom’s centerpiece, will now awaken with colorful visuals and animations of “wintry tales.” The projections are accompanied with an original holiday score. Called the “Tree of Life Awakening,” the festive experience will begin at sundown and run intermittently throughout the night until the park closes, so you’ll have plenty of time to see it.

The holiday programming extends beyond the Tree's light show. Both Discovery Island and Pandora—The World of Avatar will have new decor, including puppets and ornaments, and other festivities for the first time.

If you’re at the parks at night and love the kind of holiday spectacle of the "Tree of Life Awakening," there are lots of other shows and experiences to see throughout the complex. In the Magic Kingdom, holiday music blares and Disney characters in festive attire celebrate the season during "Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party." "Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show" is a dazzling display of festive fireworks with your favorite carols, and in "A Frozen Holiday Wish," Queen Elsa uses her powers to transform Cinderella’s Castle.

If you want to check out the holiday fun, Disney World's holiday displays are running until January 1.
