Disneyland is changing its early entry policy for guests staying at its hotels

Disneyland is changing one of its biggest perks for guests staying on property.

Currently, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure offer 30 minutes of early admission to guests of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, which is getting a new Pixar theme.

However, starting Jan. 20, only one park will offer early entry each day, according to Disneyland’s website.

The change will impact where many resort hotel guests start or spend their day, particularly if they have one-park-per-day tickets, which cost less than park hoppers.

Guests are advised to check Disneyland’s theme park calendar to see which park will offer early entry each day.

Park reservations are still required at Disneyland, in addition to tickets. Guests who need to change park reservations to take advantage of the early entry perk can do so online or with cast member assistance at hotel front desks, pending reservation availability.

What are the perks of staying on property at Disneyland?

In addition to early admission, guests staying at Disneyland’s hotels can have park and Downtown Disney District purchases sent to their rooms for free, so they don’t have to carry them around.

They also get preferred access to a limited number of dining reservations at table-service restaurants within the hotels, access to special activities and events offered in the hotels throughout the year, and other perks, including easy access to the parks.

For many guests, however, the biggest perk is staying within the Disney bubble throughout their vacation.
