Disney's The Wonder Years director fired

Disney has relieved The Wonder Years reboot director Fred Savage of his duties, following an internal investigation.
Multiple complaints of inappropriate conduct were raised against him – not for the first time in his career – although further details pertaining to their nature were not shared.
A spokesperson for 20th Television told Deadline: "Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage and, as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years."

Four years ago, original The Wonder Years cast member Alley Mills (who played the mother of Savage's character Kevin Arnold) emerged with claims that the sitcom's cancellation back in 1993 was the result of a "completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit" filed by the costume department's Monique Long (via Yahoo! Entertainment).
Mills described her young co-star as "the least offensive, most wonderful, sweet human being that ever walked the face of the Earth".
However, another costumer from Savage's legal comedy The Grinder went on to accuse him of attacking and harassing her on set back in 2015, although no evidence of wrongdoing was ever discovered.
In light of this allegation, Savage himself came forward with a response, saying: "I have witnessed tremendous courage over these past few months, watching brave women who have come forward publicly fighting through the shame and stigma of harassment.
"I've seen first-hand the growing support in [the #MeToo] movement that has always felt so lacking. As someone who has always tried to live honourably and with integrity, it never dawned on me that my name could be on the other side.
"I was made aware that a woman working in the costume department of a show I was on almost three years ago has claimed that I treated her harshly on set simply because she was a woman. These accusations are completely without merit and absolutely untrue."
