Dispute between Stuart neighbors leads to shooting death, police say

STUART — A neighborhood dispute led to a shooting death in Stuart Saturday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened late in the afternoon, said Lt. Mike Gerwan. He did not have the address available Saturday night.

The person who was shot was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, Gerwan said.

Police announced the shooting on social media about 5:45 p.m. Saturday night. As of 7 p.m., the investigation was ongoing and no other details were released.
