Distinctive 'pink' Framingham building where Ameresco headquarters is located sold

The $13 million sale of a distinctive pink office building on Speen Street in Framingham that's home to Ameresco's corporate headquarters is MetroWest's top real estate deal of the week, according to listings compiled by The Warren Group.

It's a significant decrease from the $22.7 million the property sold for in 2015, according to the Framingham Assessors' online database.

The seller was 111 Speen St, Realty Association Fund 10 LP; the buyer is NC P 111 Speen LLC, with offices at Paradigm Advisors in Boston, which owns and operates commercial properties, according to its website.

The property has 6.34 acres and the building, built around 1985, has a pink and glass exterior and about 111,829 square feet of space, according to the Assessors' information. The transfer took place on March 23.

Founded in 2000, Ameresco provides renewable energy and energy efficiency services to public and private enterprises, and has more than 1,000 employees, according to its website. The company has other locations across the U.S., England and Canada.

Designer's dream

In Weston, 77 Westerly Road was sold for $5,900,000. According to this listing on Zillow, a new shingle-style home with a stone turret, a chef's kitchen, six bedrooms, 7 baths and a pool is to be built on the spot where a more modest four-bedroom colonial was sold in May 2020 for $1,265,000, according to a previous listing on Coldwell Banker's website.

Investing along Route 20

In Marlborough, sales of commercial properties continue on Boston Post Road, this time on the east with the sale of 21 commercial condo units in the Colonial Office Park at 200 East Main St. (Route 20), for $1,575,000. The seller was Sudbury Property Management LLC, and the buery was 200 Colonial Park LLC, with an office in Marlborough.
