District 11 All-Star basketball games set for Friday at Newark

Jimmy Allen Gymnasium once again is the site of the District 11 All-Star games Friday.

Representing Licking County schools in the girls game, which tips off at 6 p.m., will be Newark's Maddie Vejsicky, Watkins Memorial's Alexia Gartner and Lakewood's Camryn Martindale.

Representing Licking County schools in the following boys game will be Heath's Brandon McLaughlin, Licking Heights' Dante Collier, Granville Christian's Joe Benvie, Northridge's Nic Minder and Licking Valley's Colby Stough.

Also playing in the girls game are Cardington's Kambry Edwards, Karsyn Edwards and Beth Hardwick, Delaware's Chloe Jeffers, Fairfield Union's Hannah Rauch, Marion Harding's Justice Steinman-Ross, Northmor's Lexi Wenger, Ridgedale's Raylynn Mullins, Pleasant's Kyla Columber, East Knox's Alex Magers, Elgin's Brooklyn Mathews, Fredericktown's Gabby Daniels, Highland's Emma West and River Valley's Hannah Logan. Newark's Jack Eifert and Cardington's Jamie Edwards are the coaches.

Also playing in the boys game are Buckeye Valley's Owen Osborne, Centerburg's Mckinnon Mead, Marion Harding's Wesley Stokes, Olentangy Liberty's Cooper Davis, River Valley's Karson Lang, Berne Union's Brae Friesner, Bloom-Carroll's Evan Dozer and Jared Rose, East Knox's Shane Knepp, Elgin's Nate Grim and Pickerington North's Dior Conners and Jerry Saunders. Coaches are North's Jason Bates, East Knox's Ryan Powell, Buckeye Valley's Andy Gast and Centerburg's John Marhefka.

The District 11 coaches also will present awards to their top players, coaches and assistant coaches, scholarships to two athletes and a distinguished service award.
