District 71 race shows Rich and White raising most money neck and neck

In the state House District 71 seat, Bill White took out a $5,000 loan making him the campaign funds frontrunner with $19,737.43 in total receipts in the second quarter.

Jason Rich barely fell in behind Bill White in campaign fund contributions in the 71st District race with a total contribution tally of $17,998.72.

Closing out the second quarter of financial reporting, candidate Kip Capley raised a combined total of $4,765.11 in contributions and receipts, according to his state campaign finance report submitted in the second quarter on July 11.

Capley had a final balance of $1,792.91 during the reporting time that closed out on June 30.

Mitchell Skelton is a native of Wayne County who is running to represent southern Middle Tennessee in District 71 for the House of Representatives.

Mitchell Skelton fell behind Capley by just a few hundred dollars in the second quarter with a total of $4,320.95.

Of both House campaigns, Rich spent the most, listing $24,243.87 with 64th District Cepicky’s expenditures not quite as high at $17,315.37.
