Diver sentenced in crash that killed 2 teens

RICE LAKE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A Rice Lake man found guilty of homicide after a crash that took the lives of two teenage girls and injured another is sentenced. 18-year-old Troy Huehn Jr. will spend eight months in the Barron County Jail and will serve eight years of probation, which is the maximum the judge said he could receive. If he violates the terms of probation, Huehn could spend up to five years in state prison.

Huehn, 16 at the time, was the driver of a vehicle that crashed going 106 mph in Cameron. 15-year-old Winter Broulliard and 14-year-old Evah Garcia were killed as a result. While another girl was flown to a hospital for treatment of a serious arm injury.

The judge says Huehn must continue with counseling and is eligible for the substance abuse program.
