Divorce Registries

Who said registering for gifts is only for newlyweds? Moving out and on your own is tough—especially without that laser gun to point at every appliance you might need in your new home. UK department store Debenhams aims to alleviate that anxiety with a divorce registry. "If someone is getting divorce and they're moving out of their marital home they may be living on their own for the first time in their life," Debenhams' PR manager Ruth Attridge told CNN. "There's lots of things they don't have because not everyone has two toasters so it's something they're going to need.”

Divorce Photography

Much like commemorating a marriage, divorce photographers aim to capture an equally monumental occasion—divorce. Italian photographer Gianni Fasolini and others offer wedding-style divorce albums to couples who wish to capture their split on film. "People celebrate a marriage as a milestone in their lives, but a divorce is an important event too," Gianni explained to web news service Ananova.
