DMX has decided to check himself into rehab after the rapper was a no-show to Def Jam's 35th Anniversary party where he was supposed to be the headliner.

The rapper posted a statement on social media apologizing for cancelling concerts and bailing but asked for support while he focuses on his sobriety. At the time, X said he had to bail for 'personal reasons.”

In January of 2002, DMX plead guilty in New Jersey to 13 counts of animal cruelty, two counts of maintaining a nuisance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The 'Ruff Ryder's Anthem' rapper was then arrested in 2004, at John F. Kennedy International Airport on charges of cocaine possession, criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, menacing, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Getting Help...

The charges also included claiming to be a federal agent and attempting to carjack a vehicle.

The rapper has been in and out of jail over the last few years after violating probation for numerous offenses.

Sounds like X is doing the right thing by getting treatment, and is taking steps to get clean before he ends up in a worse position.
