BET To Honor DMX With Exclusive Live Coverage Of His Homegoing Celebration – Update

UPDATED, 7:50 AM: To honor the life of hip-hop icon and actor DMX, aka Earl Simmmons, BET will televise and stream BET Remembers DMX, along with live special coverage of his homegoing celebration Sunday, April 25. The coverage begins at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT on BET and its YouTube channel here.

Due to Covid-19 health and safety guidelines, in-person attendance to the homegoing celebration is restricted to close friends and family. BET also will air special programming Sunday to remember Simmons, including a selection of films and documentaries starring or featuring the late recording artist and actor.

PREVIOUS, April 9: Hip-hop icon and actor DMX will be honored tonight by BET with a special block of programming, including the docuseries Chronicles: Ruff Ryder and Inside the Label: Ruff Ryders.

DMX, aka Earl Simmons, died today after suffering a heart attack on Friday, April 2.

Chronicles: Ruff Ryders will air on BET from 6-11 PM ET, with Inside the Label: Ruff Ryders on from 11 PM to midnight ET.
