Weeks after a woman died in a building fire in Richmond, DNA evidence lead to her being identified.

Kimberly E. Wall, 40, has been identified as the victim killed in the Nov. 19th., fire at the 600 block of South J Street in Richmond, according to a spokesperson with Wayne County Coroner’s Office.

To confirm the identity of the victim, DNA testing was necessary, the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7.

“The Wayne County Coroner’s office would like to acknowledge the Richmond Fire Department, Richmond Police Department, Indiana State Forensic Laboratory and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this case,” the spokesperson said in the media release.
