Dnipro-1 has an uphill battle to overturn the team’s 3-1 defeat to Greece’s Panathinaikos in a Champions Leaguequalification game tonight, and oddsmakers have expressed little faith that they will manage an improbable comeback.

Bwin is giving the home side 1.57 odds, while a draw is listed at 4.00 and a Dnipro-1 win at 4.80.

The most likely score, according to the oddsmakers, is a 1-0 win for the Greek side at 7.25. A 2-0 Panathinaikos win is almost as likely at 7.75.

Panathinaikos is virtually assured of advancing to the next qualifying round, according to the bookmakers. The team’s chances are listed at 1.01, meaning a winning $100 wager would make $1.

Dnipro-1’s chances of advancing are 20.00, handing the winner of a successful $100 wager $2,000.

Panathinaikos dominated the first leg of the qualification series, going up 3-0 before Dnipro-1 managed to net its first-ever Champions League goal.

The winner of the two-leg series will face France’s Marseille, featuring Ukrainian national team star Ruslan Malinovsky.

Should Dnipro-1 fail to overturn the 3-1 disadvantage, it will be relegated to the Europa League’s third qualification round, where the team would face Czechia’s Slavia Praha.

Playing in Athens, Greece, the game will begin at 20:30 EET.
