Ukraine’s SBU Security Service apprehended a collaborator accused of scouting the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in Donetsk, passing the information to her son, a "DNR" militant collaborating with Russian intelligence, the SBU announced on Feb. 23.

The apparent traitor made efforts to identify and relay to the enemy the whereabouts of personnel and heavy weaponry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces  near Bakhmut. She collected data on the aftermath of Russian attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Kostiantynivka.

The woman faces charges of state treason under martial law, outlined in part 2 of article 111 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code — a crime that carries a possible life sentence.

This arrest follows recent SBU operations in Mykolaiv, where collaborator was spying on Ukrainian military ships near the Mykolaiv port.
