Doctor, basketball player and firefighter some of the jobs kids want when they grow up

The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten to eighth grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed weekly.

This month’s question: Tell what you want to be when you are grown up and why this is what you want to be.

When I grow up I want to work as a doctor. Why you ask? Well I want to save lives of course. I also want to invent medicine for Rett Syndrom. Another reason is I watch doctor shows with my mom and the shows show me how much I love it and want that job. That is why I want to be a doctor.

When I grow up I want to be a paleontologist. I like fossils. It’s fun to dig them up. Fossils are interesting. My dog helps me clean them to. I could find a new species. That’s what I want to be when I grow up.

When I grow up I want to be a farmer. I would feed the animals. Then I would feed the milk calves. Then I would check on the calves. Finally, I would water them and milk them. My family are farmers too. That is what I want to be.

When I grow up I want to be a K-9 officer. It's so cool how first they count to three and then they release the dog. The officer had to take a leash with them for the German Shepherd when they had to catch someone. My aunt has a German Shepherd too. K-9 officers get to take the German Shepherd home. I love k-9 officers because it's fun.

When I grow up I want to be a NFL football player. The reason why is because I like football. Jim Brown is a hall of fame running back and he inspired me. He played before I was born but I still watch his highlights. Also my step dad and my uncles inspired me. My family has been supporting me.My favorite team is the Cleveland browns so I hope I get drafted by them.This is what I want to be when I grow up and no one is getting in my way.

When I grow up I want to be a basketball player. I want to be a basketball player because I am good at basketball. I want to be a basketball player when I grow up because it is fun and I get to play with my friends. It is a team sport and my team plays as a team. I like to play basketball against my brothers and sometimes I win and sometimes my brothers win. My brothers and I love basketball and it is my top sport. Finally, I love basketball and I hope I don’t leave my team.

Fourth, I want to work at the new fire station that I help build it by smoothing out the rocks. I got to do it because my grandpa is the boss of Simonson.
