New doctors, nurse practitioners join Tri-Cities area practices

New doctors and other health professionals have joined Tri-City area clinics this winter.

They include a Tri-Cities foot surgeon, a doctor and nurse practitioner at a Richland dermatology clinic, a Pasco gastroenterology advanced registered nurse practitioner and a Benton City doctor and mental health professional.

Kennewick podiatric surgeon

Dr. Jarrett Hamilton, a podiatric surgeon, has accepted a position as a foot and ankle surgeon in Kennewick.

He is seeing patients at the Trios Care Center at Southridge — 5th Floor Clinic, 3730 Plaza Way for general podiatry, ankle joint pain and instability, arthritis, diabetic wounds, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures of the foot and more.

He received his medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, Calif.

He was co-chief resident and completed his surgical residency at Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center/Southern California Kaiser Permanente, in Encino, Calif.

He is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and has been a practicing podiatrist since 2007.

Richland dermatology clinic professionals

A doctor and nurse practitioner have joined DermaHealth Dermatology and Dermasurgery in Richland.

Dr. Dale Ello Cruto was part of the residency class of 2021 at Trios Health.

Nurse Practitioner Zarlashta Jalalyar also has joined the practice.

They are joining the practice as two physician assistants are leaving.

Pasco gastroenterology ARNP

Catherine Spomer, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, has joined Lourdes Gastroenterology and is working with Dr. Gary Belcaster.

She treats patients acid reflux, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, digestive diseases, chronic heartburn, colon cancer screening and more at the Lourdes Gastroentorlogy clinic at 7425 Wrigley Drive, off Road 68 in Pasco.

“She is a great patient advocate, and we are excited to see her grow her practice with Lourdes,” said Emilia Keener senior market director of physician services. “Gastroenterology services are in high demand, and we are grateful to be able to add another provider to the clinic.”

Spomer earned her master’s in nursing degree at Purdue University. She has been working in the medical field for 16 years, including three years as a lead registered nurse for colonoscopies and other endoscopic procedures.

Benton City psychiatric nurse practitioner

Selena Diaz, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, has joined Prosser Memorial Hospital’s Benton City Clinic.

She holds credentials with the American Psychiatric Nurse Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

She grew up in the Lower Yakima Valley and has worked at multiple Mid-Columbia health organizations, including Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Lourdes.

She began her nursing career in oncology and home nursing and earned a master’s from Marysville University.

Kim Vanatta, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, has joined Prosser Memorial Health’s Benton City Clinic to provide internal medicine service.

She is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine, and she holds memberships with the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Internists and Washington Osteopathic Medical Association.

She earned degrees from Columbia Basin College and the University of Washington before attending Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.
