Doctors worry about flu season amid COVID-19 pandemic

Some doctors are expecting the number of novel coronavirus cases to increase this fall — the same time as flu season. “We think it’s going to get worse this winter, compared to what it is right now,” said Dr. Dean Blumberg, of UC Davis Health. “We expect to have an increase in the number of COVID-19 infections.” Doctors are urging people to get the flu shot to protect themselves against one of the viruses.
