DocuSign: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ DocuSign Inc. (DOCU) on Thursday reported a loss of $46.6 million in its fiscal third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 11 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.

The provider of electronic signature technology posted revenue of $249.5 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $241.3 million.

For the current quarter ending in January, DocuSign said it expects revenue in the range of $263 million to $267 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $962 million to $966 million.

DocuSign shares have increased 73% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $69.50, a rise of 66% in the last 12 months.
