- All right, well, news in the world of autos-- Dodge is ending production of its Dodge Challenger and Charger cars with the 2023 model. But special edition models might be on the way. Yahoo Finance's Pras Subramanian joins us with this. Two models that were very popular-- it's almost like the end of an era here for Dodge.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: It really is the end of an era. I mean, these muscle cars are what Dodge is known for, right? The Challenger, the Charger-- the only other car they have is Durango SUVs. So they've killed off two of their three cars.

It's sort of the DNA of the brand, right? So you're going to say, this is the last year they're going to make them. Special edition's going to come out for, like, all the fans. It's going to be called-- kind of like, with special insignias inside the hood and things like that.

So you really got to ask, what's next for the brand? The whole Stellantis parent company wants to go electric. And right now, you've got to ask, well, is Dodge going to go electric?

And they have teased the fact that there will be an electric muscle car coming soon for Dodge. We don't know much about it other than the fact that it will sound really interesting, is what the CEO, Carlos Tavares said.

- Where are they on an EV truck? Because to me, Dodge is still a truck company, primarily. I've never been a muscle car guy, per se. Are they even on first base?

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: So you know, Ram Trucks, right-- so they've sort of taken that and made that it's own sub-brand. They are going to have an EV truck coming out. Probably in 2024, they're going to debut that-- so a year or two later than GM and Ford. So they are going to go there.

Jeep already has-- Jeep has the best-selling hybrid in America. And that's the Wrangler 4xe electric hybrid. That is the top-selling hybrid in America. So they have that. And they're slowly going that way. So it's happening, just a bit slower than other brands.

- It is surprising to see how far ahead Ford was, and even Chevy with their Silverado was-- a slow read of the market.

- Yeah--

- No, Polestar is the other one. We talked about Dodge going away. Polestar is adding.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: Yes, on the same day you hear about Dodge getting rid of these two big, American, brawny muscle cars, Polestar taking their O2 roadster concept, which you see right here. That's actually a convertible.

They're going to-- that was a concept. You're going to see. That's going to come out in 2026. It's called the Polestar 6. Almost 900 horsepower.

This concept had a deployable drone, which-- that's not going to be in the actual car. But a really hot EV sports car, which doesn't really exist in the market. Most EV sports cars that are here costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. And this is-- there's no convertible, too. So this is the first EV convertible that will actually come out in 2026. And you can sign up for it today.

Eventually, you might see the Corvette EV come out. You might also see a Mustang Corvette come-- or a Mustang in the future. But those have not been announced. But this is--

- Do we have any idea how much this will cost?

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: There are thoughts that it might cost around a couple hundred thousand dollars.

- A couple hundred? [LAUGHS]

- Thousand dollars?

- You buried that.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: Yeah, yeah--

- Oh, my goodness.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: I know, I know.

- My gosh. All right, safe to say I don't think I'm getting--

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: Hey, 900 horsepower.

- Only one of us can afford it, and it ain't us two.

- Yeah, it's not us. Not us.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: [LAUGHS]

- Pras, good to see you, brother.
