Dodger dogs, pig roasts and river cruises: 9 ways to celebrate dad in OKC on Father's Day

It's the time of year when we celebrate the men in our lives who taught us to swing a bat, bait a hook, change a car tire and drive our moms crazy by never quite putting things back exactly where they belong.

An easy way to show dad how much you care is with a great meal. You could fire up the grill and cook at home, or you can let a local restaurant take care of the meal for you. Plus, Oklahoma City has a number of event options to truly make a day of celebrating.

Here are nine options for Father's Day fun around Oklahoma City.

1. Head to Stock & Bond for Steaks and more

The First National Center's high-end steakhouse, Stock & Bond, 138 Park Ave., will be open from noon to 8 p.m. serving up quality steaks, crab legs and more to delight dad. On special for Father's Day and throughout June, enjoy a 30-ounce Linz Heritage Angus prime t-bone finished with beef tallow and herb butter for $135 and a half-pound of Alaskan King Crab Legs with salsa verde butter, clarified butter, and a lemon wedge for $90. Stock & Bond also has an extensive selection of American whiskeys, bourbon and ryes, so you can treat dad to a pour, neat or on the rocks. 2. Take a Oklahoma River cruise with snacks and a bar on board

If you've already planned lunch or dinner, you can take a river cruise with dad to enjoy the outdoors. Bite size snacks and a cash bar await you on this cruise down the Oklahoma River. The cruise is an hour and a half long and $30 per person with tickets required in advance. The cruise departs at 1:30 p.m. and boarding is 15 minutes prior at 701 S.
