When does the Dolphins’ offseason workout program start? NFL announces dates

The NFL on Friday released dates for every team’s 2024 offseason workout program. The Dolphins’ program will begin on April 15 and includes nine practices over May and June.

The team will hold organized team activities (OTAs) workouts on May 20-21, 23, 28-29 and 31. Mandatory minicamp will be from June 4-6.

The voluntary offseason workout program — aside from mandatory minicamp — is a nine-week session divided into three phases:

Phase One is the first two weeks of the program and is limited to meetings, strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation.

Phase Two is the three weeks of the program. On-field workouts — including individual or group instructions and drills — are allowed. are allowed. “Perfect play drills” and drills and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace are also allowed. Phase Two does not permit live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills.

Phase Three is the next four weeks of the program, which includes up to 10 days of OTAs. Phase Three prohibits live contact but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

Dates for each team’s post-draft rookie minicamp will be released later. Dates for training camp, expected to begin in late July, have also not been announced yet.
