Does your kid love Halloween? Here are 6 trick-or-treating events leading up to the big night

Too much work goes into a Halloween costume to only get one candy pay-off, which is probably why there are so many trick-or-treat events happening around Rhode Island in the lead-up to Halloween.

These events are conveniently timed so that the most enterprising candy gatherer could find a way to go to all of them, though it would make for a very busy Saturday (and since not all of them are free, it's also probably not the most cost-effective scenario).

Whether you're looking for one more chance to don your costume or a weather-proof candy option, these six events happening around the state will have you saying "trick or treat?"
