When does Wet N' Wild open? Details on admission prices, new ride 'Tarantula Tailspin'

Summer is not here yet, but thinking about and preparing is always fun. Swimsuits should be popping up in store racks in the spring. You can throw out any expired sunscreen lotion and replace it. Make sure the swim towels and goggles are still in good condition.

You probably want to start picking up noodles, coolers and other water fun must-haves when you see them.

And one of the area's premier water parks, Wet N' Wild Waterworld in Anthony, Texas, is already gearing up for a hot season, so let's get into it.

Here is what you need to know about the water park for 2023.

Wet N' Wild new ride called Tarantula Tailspin

The water park will have a new attraction, the Tarantula Tailspin, a double-rider adventure slide that will open in the summer of 2023. "Up to two riders at a time will be sent twisting and turning down high banking corners into dual 360-degree downward spirals," according to a park press release. The new ride will also feature unique aqua-lucent special effects for a fun visual for riders.

Construction on the new ride is underway and expected to be completed by Memorial Day weekend. It will be the third new addition in the last six years. The park has over 20 water attractions, from the relaxing Little Rio Grande and surfing fun at the Wild Island Wave Pool to exciting thrill rides like the Alien Vortex, for good swimmers only.
