‘Doesn’t have a care in the world.’ Watch gator take a stroll in a Florida neighborhood

A “so big” alligator took a casual morning stroll in a Tampa area suburb Thursday morning, and put on quite the show.

Homeowner Leah Yeatts whipped her phone to catch the sight.

In her video, there it is, an alligator lumbering along the walking path on the grass, going about its business.

“Wow, he’s so big,” a woman says off camera as a dog barks. “It’s huge!”

“He is huge!” agrees another woman, laughing.

The camera follows the seven-footer along the path as a car stops for the people inside to take a look. Then the beast casually slips into a pond as a man walking a little white dog on a leash watches the reptile go underwater.

“Doesn’t have a care in the world, at least!” says one of the onlookers.

No trappers were called to remove the gator, says Yeatts, who has spotted him and his friends in this community since she moved in about five years ago.

“We see gators in this neighborhood all the time,” she told the Miami Herald. “This is their home, too. I would never call a trapper unless one was acting aggressive.”
