Dog, cat adoption fees waived for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on Saturday | PAWS
In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is waiving all pet adoption fees on Saturday, April 30.
Meet two of the shelter's many dogs looking for forever families.
Tucker, 6-year-old yellow Labrador retriever
Having arrived at the PAWS shelter on April 19 after his owner passed away, 6-year-old Tucker is described as active, friendly, playful and smart. The yellow Labrador is leash-trained and loves taking walks.
Tucker interacts well with dogs and humans and is suitable for any home.

Happy Jax, three-year-old pit bull terrier
Weighing in at 110 pounds, Happy Jax is described as a gentle giant. This high-energy pit bull interacts well with other dogs and humans and loves to cuddle.
Happy Jax requires frequent exercise and would do best in a home with lots of playtime.
