Dog Repeatedly Blocks Pal's Attempts to Get Downstairs for Bedtime

A basset hound was caught on camera hilariously blocking her canine companion’s attempts to descend the stairs when it was time for bed at their Ohio home.

Oberlin-based farmer Tammy Tunison filmed footage of her two dogs, Bes and Q, heading downstairs to hit the hay.

Bes, however, was apparently not quite as keen as Q to get some shut eye, as she repeatedly got in his way to stop him from getting any further down the steps.

Tunison told Storyful that the dogs “love each other so much” and that Bes blocks Q on the stairs “every night”.

“She is not being disrespectful to Q, she is doing it to get as much love as she can from Q before they go to sleep,” she said. “The longer she blocks him, the more time she gets to spend with him before going to sleep.”
