Dog rescued from tornado-damaged home in Alabama

Search and rescue efforts continue in Alabama, where a tornado destroyed homes early Tuesday morning. Volunteers helped free Jason Williams' dog Smokey from the remains of the basement where the animal had been trapped. (Jan. 26)

JASON WILLIAMS: Well, I heard the sirens, and so I woke up my wife and my younger daughter and we ran downstairs and the cat dog was with us. And we had a few minutes and we noticed our ears start popping, so we ran into the storm shelter there. And just as soon as we got in there, it just all hit and all of it came down on top of us. And we were trapped underneath some stuff for about 15-20 minutes, so our neighbors here came and helped us get out. We're bruised and scraped up, but other than that, God had his, his mighty hand on us.
