Dog shows, sumo wrestling and reggae: 5 things to do in San Diego this weekend
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — It’s that time of the week again — the end! For those pondering how to spend those off days, there are some quirky happenings on the calendar.
From unique competitions and film screenings to something referred to as “organic kid folk,” here are five things to do in San Diego on the fourth weekend in February:

Oceanside International Film Festival
Catch a film as part of this annual event Friday or Saturday in North County. The schedule features flicks about love, others about surfing mega waves, as well as some horror and comedy. There are also Q&A panel discussions.
This band is known for playing “foot-stomping, wing-flapping, free-range” tunes for kids across the country. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the band is throwing an interactive concert at San Diego Botanic Garden on Saturday, which will be followed by a meet and greet.
One of the oldest kennel clubs in Southern California — Silver Bay Kennel Club of San Diego — is hosting a weekend-long dog show at Del Mar Fairgrounds. There will be tricks, tests, and even some beginner pups showing the crowd what they know learned so far.
On Saturday, there will be a full day of sumo wrestling, music, food and mingling at the City Heights Performance Annex. This free event is open to those of all ages, especially those interested in experiencing all that is sumo wrestling first-hand.
43rd Tribute to the Reggae Legends
Located at the WorldBeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park, this event will pay homage to the influential artists involved in the genre of reggae music. Attendees can expected performances from local and international musicians. There will also be vendors and cultural booths.
