Meet Cosmo! He is the most perfect little fellow—loving and willing to please. This sweet boy was rescued from the Mesquite shelter. Who knows why anyone would surrender this boy to a high kill, overcrowded shelter. He is 13 pounds, potty trained and wonderful with everyone he meets.

Rocky, rottweiler

Rocky originally came to us from a shelter in Arkansas. Rocky may be blind, but that doesn't slow him down one bit. He knows basic commands and can learn the layout of a house fairly quickly and navigate it on his own. He will get up on the sofa when invited. Getting down he gauges distance and nails it! He does the same with getting in and out of cars. He trusts his human completely, loves to go on walks and would do best in a calmer home where he is with someone most of the day. Don't let his blindness fool you: this guy is full of life and love and adventure.

Rock, rottweiler

Rock is a darling male rottweiler dog being kept at Southern States Rescued Rottweilers.

Rock loves being around people, and he'd do great in a home with children. No other pets please: He is looking for forever home without other dogs or cats. Good news: He has already house-trained. He's vaccinated and neutered.

Meet Rock! Although he has had a difficult life, he has a great attitude. With the people he knows, he is affectionate, loving and content to lay at their feet. Rock was an outside dog, chained to a dog house. Now, he is adapting well to being a house dog, working on crate training and housebreaking, and learning how to play and enjoy life! Rock is currently going through heartworm treatment and will not be available for adoption until he completes treatment. However, adoption applications will be taken in the meantime.

Nikki, rottweiler

Hi! My name is Nikki and this is my story. I was in a shelter and they told me my time was running out. I was surrendered to the shelter because my mom and dad lost their home, and I had no place to go. When I got to the shelter I was very confused but eventually went to live with a wonderful foster mom. Foster mom says I am a mess, but I am the sweetest mess ever! I will give you sad eyes and smooches. All I want is to snuggle and play. I am learning my manners because it makes everyone happy. All I want now is my very own family to snuggle with and make happy!

Max, rottweiler

Max is a lovable male rottweiler dog being kept at Southern States Rescued Rottweilers.

Max loves other dogs. He is looking for cat-free forever home. Max will do best in a home without small children. He is already house-trained. He has been vaccinated and neutered.

Meet Max, a handsome young man! Even though Max is young, he has had a rough life already. That's why he is slow to trust new people. Once he does trust you, he is a silly loving boy and really likes tummy rubs and sitting in your lap giving kisses. Max is house and crate trained. When he see’s you with his food bowl, he will run into his crate and patiently wait to be fed.

Coa, rottweiler

Coa is a male rottweiler dog staying at Southern States Rescued Rottweilers.

Coa gets along well with other dogs. His ideal forever home would be a cat-free environment. He already has all of his shots, and he's neutered. He has mastered his house-training etiquette.

Hi there I'm Coa! I'm a young pup with a little bit of a strange start to life. When my family was unable to care for us any longer, I ended up in a shelter. My eye was in bad shape, and I had to have it removed, but do you really need two? I'm now living with my foster dad, and he is great! He takes me on lots of runs and we frequently go camping together. I don't climb on the furniture, and I can sleep through the night next to your bed politely like a champ! My rescuers were also very impressed with me when I kindly let a little kid give me a bath! If you have what it takes to love, care for and handle a big big boy like me, please let my rescuers know!
