Dogs rescued from Garrett fire

Mar. 17—GRANTSVILLE — Three dogs were rescued Thursday when fire broke out inside a residential outbuilding and kennel in Grantsville.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze started in the feed room just before 4 p.m. at 11035 National Pike and caused about $50,000 damage.

Fire investigators said the fire started when a lithium ion battery on an electric bicycle exploded.
