It should’ve been on a need to know basis.

Doja Cat is none too pleased with pal Noah Schnapp after the “Stranger Things” star, 17, broadcast to the world via TikTok that the “Need to Know” singer, 26, wanted help getting in good with his co-star, season 4 breakout Joseph Quinn.

Sharing that “private conversation” was not only “borderline snake”-like of Scarsdale-born Schnapp but “so unbelievably socially unaware and whack,” the Grammy winner — born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini — said on a TikTok Live, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Though Doja Cat contended, Schnapp’s age may have played a role, she had plenty of grievances to air.

“To be fair, this is like a kid. When you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s—t. You say dumb s—t,” she said, noting she’d addressed the issue already with the teen, according to the outlet. “You f—k f—ked up relationships with people.”

That said, she called the move “weasel s—t,” and said it was reminiscent of “a weird power play.”

Schnapp in his TikTok shared a screenshot of the pair’s conversation, in which she asked him to “tell Joseph to hmu.” London native Quinn, 29, joined the Netflix sci-fi hit in the recently concluded latest season, as Eddie Munson.

“Wait no. does he have a gf?” she then asked Schnapp, who suggested she “slide into his dms.” He provided Doja Cat with the actor’s account after she said she’d had trouble finding it.

On Friday, Doja Cat took to Twitter to slam those criticizing her for airing the dirty laundry between her and Schnapp.

“Y’all are so cringe and lame and nobody wants to hang w u that’s why y’all be on here unironically writing replies to s—t that makes you mad,” she wrote.

“And apologize to Noah,” responded one user.

While another acknowledged he’s young, they noted Schnapp is “almost an adult and he really shouldnt have shared those messages.”

Another fan of Doja Cat’s noted that much as they love the singer, “u went to a 17 year old instead of dming Joseph yourself like an adult, then called him out ... publicly,” and claimed it’s her fame that fueled Schnapp’s desire to share the conversation, adding: “If you wanted it kept private, you should’ve made that clear w him.”
